wristwatch

This is a beautifully engineered Bulova wristwatch. I have an old Bulova Accutron. It was started in America by a migrant and became the first mass-produced timepiece. The Accutron used electricity and a tuning fork and a magnet,  science was not a strong subject for me. However, it made a marvellous humming sound rather than the normal tick, tick of a traditional watch. Now that many of us have a smartphones, one has the time always in one’s pocket. It’s not as easy to see as a wristwatch on one’s wrist but the leather strap always got smelly and the glass face scratched and I looked at the time far too often. We have a sort of clock in our heads anyway or is it in our stomachs?!  This is a chronological masterpiece. I’ve wanted one all the time!
